Description
Summary
During the resource pack stage of logging in, after the server sends ResourcePackStackPacket, a malicious client can send a batch of multiple ResourcePackClientResponsePacket packets with status ResourcePackClientResponsePacket::STATUS_COMPLETED causing the server to repeatedly execute pre-spawn progression.
Impact
Multiple Player objects can be created for just a single session, increasing memory usage and amplifying outbound network traffic from duplication of large pre-spawn packets such as AvailableCommandsPacket and CreativeContentPacket.
Workarounds
Plugins can use their own PacketHandler classes that reject/ignore any extra ResourcePackClientResponsePacket packets.

Detection & mitigation playbook
Open-source dependencyDetect
Scan your dependency tree (package-lock.json, pnpm-lock.yaml, requirements.txt, go.sum, etc.) for pocketmine/pocketmine-mp, including transitive dependencies — a direct dependency you never call can still pull in a vulnerable version.
Fix
Update pocketmine/pocketmine-mp to 5.44.2 or later, then make sure no transitive (indirect) dependency still pins the vulnerable range — O3 confirms GHSA-pg53-p7qp-65cv is resolved across your whole dependency graph.
Workarounds
If you can't upgrade right away: gate or disable the affected feature, validate untrusted input at the boundary, and avoid passing attacker-controlled data into the vulnerable path. O3's runtime protection blocks exploitation in production as an interim safeguard until the upgrade lands.
