HIGH

GHSA-jvc7-762p-3743 is a high-severity (CVSS 7.2) vulnerability in n8n. O3 Security confirms whether GHSA-jvc7-762p-3743 is actually reachable in your code before you act, and blocks exploitation at runtime until you patch.

Description

Impact

The MicrosoftAgent365Trigger and StripeTrigger node did not validate that inbound requests. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker who knows the webhook URL could submit a forged payload and cause the workflow to execute with attacker-controlled data.

Patches

The issue has been fixed in n8n versions 2.25.7, and 2.26.2. Users should upgrade to one of these versions or later to remediate the vulnerability.

Workarounds

If upgrading is not immediately possible, administrators should consider the following temporary mitigations:

  • Deactivate any workflows using the Microsoft Agent 365 Trigger node or Stripe Trigger node until the instance can be upgraded.
  • Restrict network access to the n8n webhook endpoint to trusted sources only.

These workarounds do not fully remediate the risk and should only be used as short-term mitigation measures.

Detection & mitigation playbook

Open-source dependency
  1. Detect

Scan your dependency tree (package-lock.json, pnpm-lock.yaml, requirements.txt, go.sum, etc.) for n8n. O3's reachability analysis confirms whether the vulnerable code path is actually invoked in your application, so you act on real exposure instead of every transitive match.

  2. Fix

Update n8n to 2.26.2 or later, then make sure no transitive (indirect) dependency still pins the vulnerable range — O3 confirms GHSA-jvc7-762p-3743 is resolved across your whole dependency graph.

  3. Workarounds

If you can't upgrade right away: gate or disable the affected feature, validate untrusted input at the boundary, and avoid passing attacker-controlled data into the vulnerable path. O3's runtime protection blocks exploitation in production as an interim safeguard until the upgrade lands.

  4. How O3 protects you

O3 pinpoints whether GHSA-jvc7-762p-3743 is reachable in your code and exactly where to fix it, then blocks exploitation in production at runtime until the patched version is deployed.

Tailored to GHSA-jvc7-762p-3743. Runtime protection reduces exposure until a permanent patch is applied and verified — it complements patching, it doesn't replace it.
