Description
Concrete CMS 9.5.0 and below is vulnerable to IDOR in surveys. To be vulnerable, a site would have to be configured in such a way that both public and private surveys are present on the site. An unauthenticated attacker can vote in the restricted survey by submitting the restricted optionID through the public survey’s endpoint. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v.4.0 score of 6.3 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Open-source dependencyDetect
Scan your dependency tree (package-lock.json, pnpm-lock.yaml, requirements.txt, go.sum, etc.) for concrete5/concrete5, including transitive dependencies — a direct dependency you never call can still pull in a vulnerable version.
Fix
Update concrete5/concrete5 to 9.5.1 or later, then make sure no transitive (indirect) dependency still pins the vulnerable range — O3 confirms GHSA-8c7c-h7px-267g is resolved across your whole dependency graph.
Workarounds
If you can't upgrade right away: gate or disable the affected feature, validate untrusted input at the boundary, and avoid passing attacker-controlled data into the vulnerable path. O3's runtime protection blocks exploitation in production as an interim safeguard until the upgrade lands.
