CVE-2026-61685 is a high-severity (CVSS 7.5) SQL Injection vulnerability in @fecommunity/reactpress. A fix is available for @fecommunity/reactpress — see the affected versions and patch details below.
ReactPress has SQL injection via dynamic column names in TypeORM query builders
Exploitation Status
No confirmed exploitation observed yet
- CISA assesses this as automatable — exploitation doesn’t require manual, per-target effort, which raises the odds of mass scanning and opportunistic attacks.
- CISA’s own triage has not observed active exploitation or public proof-of-concept code for this CVE as of its last assessment.
Exploitation and automatability from CISA’s SSVC triage for CVE-2026-61685.
EPSS Exploitation Probability
Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days, from FIRST.org EPSS.

CVE-2026-61685 by exploitation likelihood (EPSS) against impact (CVSS). Outside the shaded patch-first corner.
Where this sits among everything scored
Of 394,803 CVEs with a current EPSS score, this one falls in the < 10% band (highlighted). Counts from FIRST.org, log-scaled.
Real-World Exposure
How broadly this vulnerability is actually deployed: weekly install volume shows current usage, and reverse-dependency count shows how many other packages break if it stays unpatched.
@fecommunity/reactpressnpmDescription
Summary
ReactPress API list endpoints build TypeORM QueryBuilder conditions using
unsanitized HTTP query parameter names as SQL column identifiers
(e.g. `article.${key}`). TypeORM parameterizes values but not column
names, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject SQL through crafted
query string keys.
Impact
An unauthenticated remote attacker can perform blind SQL injection against the application database, potentially exfiltrating sensitive data (users, settings, API keys, article content, etc.).
Affected endpoints (unauthenticated GET)
GET /api/articleGET /api/commentGET /api/fileGET /api/pageGET /api/Knowledge
Affected code
Vulnerable pattern in findAll() methods, including but not limited to:
server/src/modules/article/article.service.tsserver/src/modules/comment/comment.service.tsserver/src/modules/file/file.service.tsserver/src/modules/page/page.service.tsserver/src/modules/knowledge/knowledge.service.ts
Remediation
- Whitelist allowed filter column names before interpolating into SQL.
- Upgrade to
@fecommunity/reactpress>= 3.7.0.

Detection & mitigation playbook
Open-source dependencyDetect
Scan your dependency tree (package-lock.json, pnpm-lock.yaml, requirements.txt, go.sum, etc.) for @fecommunity/reactpress, including transitive dependencies — a direct dependency you never call can still pull in a vulnerable version.
Fix
Update @fecommunity/reactpress to 3.7.0 or later, then make sure no transitive (indirect) dependency still pins the vulnerable range — O3 confirms CVE-2026-61685 is resolved across your whole dependency graph.
Workarounds
Until you can upgrade, make sure every query built from user input uses parameterised statements or a prepared-statement API rather than string concatenation, and reduce the database account's privileges so an injected query cannot read or alter data beyond what the feature needs.
