Description
ToolJet is the open-source foundation am AI-native platform for building and deploying internal tools, workflows and AI agents. Prior to 3.20.178-lts, there's an SSRF in the RestAPI data source component. The RestAPI data source executes HTTP requests server-side, and its private IP filter only checks the hostname string — not the resolved IP. DNS names like 169.254.169.254.nip.io resolve to the Azure IMDS link-local address and bypass the filter entirely. This allows any authenticated user (free tier) to steal Azure managed identity tokens for the AKS production cluster. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.20.178-lts.
Detection & mitigation playbook
VulnerabilityDetect
Scan your dependency tree (package-lock.json, pnpm-lock.yaml, requirements.txt, go.sum, etc.) for the affected component. O3's reachability analysis confirms whether the vulnerable code path is actually invoked in your application, so you act on real exposure instead of every transitive match.
Remediation status
No patched version of the affected component has shipped for CVE-2026-55412 yet. Where your build allows, override or pin the dependency away from the vulnerable range, and apply any maintainer-recommended mitigation.
Mitigate without a patch
If you can't upgrade right away: gate or disable the affected feature, validate untrusted input at the boundary, and avoid passing attacker-controlled data into the vulnerable path. O3's runtime protection blocks exploitation in production as an interim safeguard until the upgrade lands.
How O3 protects you
O3 pinpoints whether CVE-2026-55412 is reachable in your code and exactly where to fix it, then blocks exploitation in production at runtime until the patched version is deployed.
Tailored to CVE-2026-55412. Runtime protection reduces exposure until a permanent patch is applied and verified — it complements patching, it doesn't replace it.
