What this malware does

On require() the package fetches a platform-specific executable from obfuscated Cloudflare Workers hosts (oob-worker.cf10{0..3}-*.workers.dev, host strings assembled by joining split literals to evade static analysis), with a fallback that reassembles a base64 payload from DNS TXT records under sdk.dl.wel1.ru, ext.dl.wel1.ru, pkg.dl.wel1.ru, and net.dl.wel1.ru. The binary is written to a temp file disguised as OS diagnostics output ('dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe' on Windows, '.cache_<hex>' elsewhere), chmod'd 0755, and spawned detached and unref'd via cp.spawn('/bin/sh', ['-c', filePath+' &']). The same drop-and-exec logic is duplicated in lib/telemetry.js (the package's declared main), ensuring execution even if bridge.js is bypassed. child_process is imported via string concatenation (require('child'+'process')) and fs.chmodSync via bracket-access to further evade pattern scanning. The module self-labels as 'telemetry/analytics' and gates the drop on DISABLE_TELEMETRY / ANALYTICS_OPT_OUT / DO_NOT_TRACK environment variables as a plausible-deniability cover; the actual behavior is fetch-and-execute of an attacker-controlled binary on the installer's host at import time.

Detection & response playbook

Credential / info stealer
  1. Find it

Scan your lockfiles (package-lock.json, pnpm-lock.yaml, yarn.lock, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, etc.) and build artifacts for dolyame-ui-sortablelist (version 35.8.1). O3 Security's supply-chain scanner checks every dependency against known-malicious package intelligence at install time and in CI, flagging dolyame-ui-sortablelist across your stack and pipelines.

  2. If you installed it — respond

dolyame-ui-sortablelist is built to steal secrets, so assume every credential the build or runtime could read is compromised. Remove it from your project and lockfile, then rotate ALL exposed secrets — npm/registry tokens, cloud keys, CI/CD secrets, SSH keys, and any .env values — from a known-clean machine. Audit logs for unauthorized use of those credentials.

  3. Did it already run?

If dolyame-ui-sortablelist was ever installed, its post-install/runtime payload may have already executed. O3's L7 egress monitoring and runtime eBPF sensors detect the credential exfiltration or command-and-control callback after install and block the malicious outbound channel, so you catch and contain the actual compromise — not just the presence of the package.

  4. How O3 protects you

O3 blocks dolyame-ui-sortablelist before install through its supply-chain scanner, and if it has already run, detects and severs the exfiltration or C2 callback at runtime through L7 egress monitoring and eBPF.
