An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted packets to an IP interface on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code with root privileges and could cause process crashes resulting in a reload and DoS condition.","published":"2026-10-07T17:17:01.183","modified":"2026-10-07T17:17:01.183","cvss":{"score":9.8,"severity":"CRITICAL","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":null,"affectedPackages":[],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-ngoam-rce-LWKQ4BU"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","NVD","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-10-07T17:17:01.183"}}
