{"id":"CVE-2026-59208","aliases":["GHSA-mq3m-f8x3-579w"],"url":"https://o3.security/vulnerability/CVE-2026-59208","summary":"n8n: Cross-Issuer Token Exchange Account Binding via Subject-Only Identity Resolution","details":"n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.27.4 and from 2.28.0 prior to 2.28.1, n8n instances configured with more than one trusted token-exchange issuer resolved external identities to local accounts using only the JWT sub claim and ignored the iss claim, allowing an attacker with a valid token from one trusted issuer and a sub matching a victim under another issuer to authenticate as that victim. This issue is fixed in versions 2.27.4 and 2.28.1.","published":"2026-07-09T15:27:28.126Z","modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:12.919772265Z","cvss":null,"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"n8n","fixedVersion":"2.28.1"},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"n8n","fixedVersion":"2.27.4"}],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n/releases/tag/n8n%402.27.4"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n/releases/tag/n8n%402.28.1"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/59xxx/CVE-2026-59208.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n/security/advisories/GHSA-mq3m-f8x3-579w"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-59208"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-12T03:51:12.919772265Z"}}
