Prior to 0.9.0, the Docker API server accepted request-supplied browser_config.extra_args, which flowed into Chromium's launch arguments. An attacker could inject Chromium switches that replace a child-process launch command together with --no-zygote, causing Chromium to fork or exec an attacker-controlled command as the container's runtime user. The Docker API is unauthenticated by default, so a single request yields arbitrary command execution. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.0.","published":"2026-07-06T20:16:21.597Z","modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:12.858619739Z","cvss":{"score":10,"severity":"CRITICAL","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"epss":{"score":0.00939,"percentile":0.58928,"asOf":"2026-09-12"},"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"crawl4ai","fixedVersion":"0.9.0"}],"fix":{"url":"https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/commit/60886d1a0c52682e4c83a7cef9dfac417fff6bd2","label":"unclecode/crawl4ai@60886d1"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/57xxx/CVE-2026-57572.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/security/advisories/GHSA-r253-r9jw-qg44"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-57572"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/unclecode/crawl4ai/commit/60886d1a0c52682e4c83a7cef9dfac417fff6bd2"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-12T03:51:12.858619739Z"}}
