{"id":"CVE-2026-49245","aliases":["GHSA-3vcg-pv95-pq54","GO-2026-5900"],"url":"https://o3.security/vulnerability/CVE-2026-49245","summary":"SFTPGo: Stored XSS via inline parameter on public shares and user file download","details":"SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. From 2.2.0 until 2.7.3, the inline query parameter on browsable-share file downloads and authenticated user-file downloads suppresses Content-Disposition: attachment, allowing an attacker-controlled HTML file stored in a share or home directory to be served as text/html in the SFTPGo web origin. An attacker who can place the file can send a crafted link to a victim, and opening that link executes the stored content in the victim's browser context. Exploitation requires social engineering and suitable share or shared-folder access, while HttpOnly session cookies limit direct cookie theft. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.3.","published":"2026-08-20T21:52:20.219Z","modified":"2026-08-23T03:42:56.449844553Z","cvss":{"score":3.7,"severity":"LOW","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N"},"epss":{"score":0.002,"percentile":0.10151,"asOf":"2026-09-17"},"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/drakkan/sftpgo/v2","fixedVersion":"2.7.3"}],"fix":{"url":"https://github.com/drakkan/sftpgo/commit/b5409a478138fca5f1d369ae5d47f753156cbd15","label":"drakkan/sftpgo@b5409a4"},"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/drakkan/sftpgo/releases/tag/v2.7.3"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/49xxx/CVE-2026-49245.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/drakkan/sftpgo/security/advisories/GHSA-3vcg-pv95-pq54"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-49245"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/drakkan/sftpgo/commit/b5409a478138fca5f1d369ae5d47f753156cbd15"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-23T03:42:56.449844553Z"}}
