{"id":"CVE-2026-47674","aliases":["GHSA-xrhx-7g5j-rcj5"],"url":"https://o3.security/vulnerability/CVE-2026-47674","summary":"Hono: IP Restriction bypasses static deny rules for non-canonical IPv6","details":"Hono is a Web application framework that provides support for any JavaScript runtime. Prior to 4.12.21, the ip-restriction middleware (hono/ip-restriction) compares incoming IP addresses against configured deny and allow rules using string equality after partial normalization. Non-canonical IPv6 representations of an address already listed in a static rule — such as compressed forms, explicit-zero forms, or hex-notation IPv4-mapped addresses — do not match the normalized rule entry, causing the rule to be silently skipped. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.12.21.","published":"2026-05-28T15:29:08.525Z","modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:33.781461259Z","cvss":{"score":5.3,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N"},"epss":{"score":0.00244,"percentile":0.15332,"asOf":"2026-08-24"},"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"hono","fixedVersion":"4.12.21"}],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/47xxx/CVE-2026-47674.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/honojs/hono/security/advisories/GHSA-xrhx-7g5j-rcj5"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-47674"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-12T03:51:33.781461259Z"}}
