{"id":"CVE-2026-46551","aliases":["GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p"],"url":"https://o3.security/vulnerability/CVE-2026-46551","summary":"NocoDB: Missing File Size Enforcement in Upload-by-URL Allows Denial of Service via Disk Exhaustion","details":"NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.04.4, the uploadViaURL path in the v1/v2 attachment API did not enforce NC_ATTACHMENT_FIELD_SIZE against the remote content-length or against the response stream. An authenticated user (Editor+) could direct the server to download arbitrarily large files, exhausting disk space and causing denial of service. In packages/nocodb/src/services/attachments.service.ts, the HEAD probe read content-length but never compared it to NC_ATTACHMENT_FIELD_SIZE; the subsequent storageAdapter.fileCreateByUrl() performed the download without maxContentLength. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.04.4.","published":"2026-06-23T20:31:55.131Z","modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:17.608416542Z","cvss":{"score":6.5,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"},"epss":{"score":0.00235,"percentile":0.14617,"asOf":"2026-08-18"},"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nocodb","fixedVersion":null}],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/46xxx/CVE-2026-46551.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/security/advisories/GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-46551"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-12T03:51:17.608416542Z"}}
