Prior to version 0.9.0, the custom CappedConcurrentHashMap introduced for Java TLS state tracking never removes keys from its insertion-order queue when entries are deleted. In long-running instrumented JVMs, repeated connection churn can therefore grow the queue without bound and exhaust heap memory. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.","published":"2026-06-02T15:23:24.666Z","modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:41.885125588Z","cvss":{"score":5.1,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"},"epss":{"score":0.00162,"percentile":0.05843,"asOf":"2026-08-14"},"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"go.opentelemetry.io/obi","fixedVersion":"0.9.0"}],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation/releases/tag/v0.9.0"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/45xxx/CVE-2026-45682.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation/security/advisories/GHSA-962q-hwm5-52x5"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-45682"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-12T03:51:41.885125588Z"}}
