From 2.0.0-alpha.1 to 2.0.0-beta.27, a Broken Access Control vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to retrieve the bcrypt password hash of every administrator account with a single POST request. The /_api/user-collection/create-first-user setup endpoint remains publicly accessible once initial configuration is complete and returns full serialized user data in the JSON response body. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.0-beta.28.","published":"2026-05-28T18:22:11.883Z","modified":"2026-08-12T03:51:09.816316026Z","cvss":{"score":7.5,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N"},"epss":{"score":0.0134,"percentile":0.69126,"asOf":"2026-08-24"},"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"Packagist","name":"automad/automad","fixedVersion":"2.0.0-beta.28"}],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/45xxx/CVE-2026-45332.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/marcantondahmen/automad/security/advisories/GHSA-xm76-r88j-vm3g"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-45332"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-12T03:51:09.816316026Z"}}
