{"id":"CVE-2026-35214","aliases":["GHSA-2wfh-rcwf-wh23"],"url":"https://o3.security/vulnerability/CVE-2026-35214","summary":"Budibase: Path traversal in plugin file upload enables arbitrary directory deletion and file write","details":"Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to version 3.33.4, the plugin file upload endpoint (POST /api/plugin/upload) passes the user-supplied filename directly to createTempFolder() without sanitizing path traversal sequences. An attacker with Global Builder privileges can craft a multipart upload with a filename containing ../ to delete arbitrary directories via rmSync and write arbitrary files via tarball extraction to any filesystem path the Node.js process can access. This issue has been patched in version 3.33.4.","published":"2026-04-03T15:43:12.426Z","modified":"2026-08-07T11:50:59.246186709Z","cvss":{"score":8.7,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:H/A:H"},"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@budibase/server","fixedVersion":"3.33.4"}],"fix":{"url":"https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/commit/6344d06d703660fd05995e61d581593c2349c879","label":"Budibase/budibase@6344d06"},"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/releases/tag/3.33.4"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-2wfh-rcwf-wh23"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2026/35xxx/CVE-2026-35214.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-35214"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/commit/6344d06d703660fd05995e61d581593c2349c879"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/pull/18240"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-07T11:50:59.246186709Z"}}
