When loading a crafted DDS image, buffer sizes derived from width, height, and pitch can be computed using 32-bit arithmetic that overflows. The allocated buffer is too small for the amount of pixel data written through GEGL (CWE-787), following integer overflow in size calculations (CWE-190). This may allow heap corruption and, in the worst case, arbitrary code execution in the context of the GIMP process.","published":"2026-10-06T21:17:04.903","modified":"2026-10-06T21:17:04.903","cvss":{"score":7.8,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":null,"affectedPackages":[],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-106062"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2546654"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","NVD","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-10-06T21:17:04.903"}}
