When establishing connections using Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.3, the client-side session cache does not limit the number of session tickets retained for a single host. A malicious server can exploit this by sending excessive session ticket messages, causing the client application to continuously consume memory. This unbounded memory growth can exhaust system memory, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).","published":"2026-10-30T05:16:57.237","modified":"2026-10-30T05:16:57.780","cvss":{"score":7.5,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"},"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":null,"affectedPackages":[],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-103963"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2465656"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib-networking/-/merge_requests/288"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","NVD","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-10-30T05:16:57.780"}}
