Prior to versions 8.6.2 and 9.1.1-alpha.1, the Instagram authentication adapter allows clients to specify a custom API URL via the `apiURL` parameter in `authData`. This enables SSRF attacks and possibly authentication bypass if malicious endpoints return fake responses to validate unauthorized users. This is fixed in versions 8.6.2 and 9.1.1-alpha.1 by hardcoding the Instagram Graph API URL `https://graph.instagram.com` and ignoring client-provided `apiURL` values. No known workarounds are available.","published":"2025-12-16T18:15:09.128Z","modified":"2026-08-08T03:48:16.263188203Z","cvss":null,"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","fixedVersion":"9.1.1-alpha.1"},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","fixedVersion":"8.6.2"}],"fix":{"url":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9988","label":"parse-community/parse-server#9988"},"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2025/68xxx/CVE-2025-68150.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-3f5f-xgrj-97pf"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-68150"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9988"},{"type":"FIX","url":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9989"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-08T03:48:16.263188203Z"}}
