Attackers can pass id[1] with crafted SQL, such as time-based SLEEP payloads, along with an api_key derived from md5(home_url()), which flows unsanitized into Database::get_where_query to extract database contents. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-18.","published":"2026-10-22T11:17:04.990","modified":"2026-10-23T22:16:51.370","cvss":{"score":8.2,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N"},"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":null,"affectedPackages":[],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"WEB","url":"https://github.com/projectdiscovery/nuclei-templates/blob/main/http/vulnerabilities/wordpress/notificationx-sqli.yaml"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://wordpress.org/plugins/notificationx/"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/d1480717-726d-4be2-95cb-1007a3f010bb"},{"type":"WEB","url":"https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/notificationx-wordpress-plugin-2.3.12-unauthenticated-sql-injection-via-notification-rest-endpoint"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","NVD","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-10-23T22:16:51.370"}}
