In versions prior to 5.3.3 or 4.10.20, a compromised Parse Server Cloud Code Webhook target endpoint allows an attacker to use prototype pollution to bypass the Parse Server `requestKeywordDenylist` option. This issue has been patched in versions 5.3.3 and 4.10.20. There are no known workarounds.","published":"2022-11-10T00:00:00Z","modified":"2026-08-08T03:47:34.768353716Z","cvss":{"score":7.2,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"epss":null,"cisaKev":null,"exploitsKnown":0,"affectedPackages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","fixedVersion":"4.10.20"},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","fixedVersion":"5.3.3"}],"fix":null,"references":[{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/CVEProject/cvelistV5/tree/main/cves/2022/41xxx/CVE-2022-41879.json"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf"},{"type":"ADVISORY","url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-41879"}],"provenance":{"sources":["OSV.dev","FIRST.org (EPSS)"],"lastVerified":"2026-08-08T03:47:34.768353716Z"}}
